The Photo Fashionista, is an online boutique of hand-picked new and preloved used items from Cherrie-Ann’s closet and the closet of other fashionista friends.

Our Story

Cherrie-Ann recalls her love for fashion at an early age.  “I remember using my birthday money to buy clothes and accessories for my Twirly Curls Barbie.  When I got a little older, the highlight of visiting my aunt was trying on and walking around the house in my cousin’s high heeled shoes.  I would secretly wear my sister’s clothes.  In high school and later in college, I used much of my earnings from babysitting and part-time jobs to buy clothes for myself.”

As fashion and Cherrie-Ann’s personal style evolved over the years, she donated clothes to Goodwill, and other charitable institutions.  Often, her family and friends were the beneficiaries of items from her ever-changing wardrobe.   In January 2020, during dinner with friends, the conversation veered toward fashion.  Cherrie-Ann jokingly mentioned that her hubby had no closest space and used the back of a door as a make-shift closet.  Little did she know, this was all the incentive that her friends needed to encourage her to sell some of the clothes in her overflowing closet to ‘free up’ some space for hubby's clothes.  Selling clothes was a suggestion that Cherrie-Ann had heard from others before, but never seriously contemplated.  But this time, it was different.  By the end of the evening, the idea for The Photo Fashionista, aka TPF, was birthed. 

TPF is the perfect synergy between two of Cherrie-Ann’s passions, photography and fashion.  Fashion does not have to be expensive, but it should be expressive. It is the way you communicate to the world.
